In his latest Facebook post, Broward County Commissioner Chip LaMarca (R-?) whines that he only won $7 bucks in the Powerball drawing. LaMarca wrote, “The Office of County Commissioner Chip LaMarca had hit the POWERBALL! Well, the powerball and two other numbers: $7 ROI!” Poor Chip, $7 won’t even get him a cheap sangria at Whole Foods!
Speaking of ROI, which stands for “return on investment”, what was Broward County taxpayers’ ROI on the $4.2 million bucks Chip gave the Florida Panthers for a fancy new scoreboard? Oh that’s right, we will never see any ROI but heck that Jehovah’s Witness convention is coming to town!
What about our ROI on the $16,000 Chip gave to Commissioner Dale Holness (D-Where In the World Is?) and his Haitian charity? HA, I’m kidding. There is no ROI. Ever.
Chip and his Facebook fans are having a hearty laugh over winning just $7. Lots of jokes of buying lunch and getting a 1/4 tank of gas. LaMarca jokes $7 will only fill the gas tank of his “moped.”
Gee, lots of Broward families could use $7. It could buy a couple gallons of milk or a few loaves of bread or even a nice cut of beef. Heck, $7 would buy a few school supplies or socks or underwear for the kiddies.
But it’s all one big joke to LaMarca & Co. In response to all the comments Chip wrote, “Of course I left out the best part, that I have to split it with three other people.”
Sorry Chip, here’s the really best part. We have to share our tax dollars with you and the eight other nitwits on the Broward County Commission.
