On Sunday, the latest cynical campaign tactic employed by Judge Steven B. Feren hit a voter registration drive in Fort Lauderdale. The push to sign up new voters was held at the Dream Wine Lounge at 1201 NE 26th Street in Fort Lauderdale. The owner urged people to come over to sample homemade cookies. He said, “Ken baked amazing chocolate cookies! They will not last!”
The chocolate cookies baker was Ken Evans, the Broward Democratic Party State Committeeman. Evans, a longtime ally of controversial lobbyist Judy Stern, was wearing a Judge Steven B. Feren campaign t-shirt. He also wore a Feren campaign button. No word if he had a pocketful of Feren’s famous nail files.
BrowardBeat.com posted a picture of Evans campaigning for Feren at an early voting site. In that picture, the dapper Evans is wearing a suit and tie while handing out Feren palm cards.
Perhaps TEAM FEREN should hand out missing posters about two-year old Lilly Baumann?
Judge Steven B. Feren is running against attorney John Patrick Contini for Broward Circuit Court Group 27.
